Staying true to its commitment to turn corporate responsibility into meaningful action, transcosmos Vietnam is carrying forward its impactful CSR program, “Reforestation Program”. After leaving strong marks in 2024, the initiative has returned in 2025 with an even greater reach, beginning at Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve (Ba Ria - Vung Tau, now part of Ho Chi Minh City) and Co Cham Village, Van Ho (Son La).
On August 9, 19 transcosmos volunteers came together to plant 1,000 trees at Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu Nature Reserve. With guidance from local forest rangers, each participant placed a young sapling into the ground as a small but meaningful promise to protect and restore the tropical forest ecosystem.
Just a week later, on August 16, the journey continued to the Northwest mountains. This time, 24 volunteers from the Hanoi office brought their dedication to Co Cham Village, Van Ho (Son La), planting another 1,000 trees. Each tree was not just a patch of green, but a symbol of unity and hope for a cleaner, greener, and more sustainable future.
Thanh Tam, one of the volunteers on Green Journey 2025, shared: “When I planted each sapling with my own hands, I felt as if I was sowing seeds of hope for my own future and for the community. What mattered most wasn’t only the number of trees we planted, but the moments we all shared together, united toward one goal. It’s an experience I will never forget.”
What makes this CSR journey stand out is its continuity beyond a single year. The “Reforestation Program” project was first launched in 2024, when 1,000 trees were planted in Ban Coi (Phu Tho) and Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu (Ho Chi Minh City). By March 2025, encouraging outcomes had already been recorded:
In Ban Coi, 500 cinnamon trees covering 500m² of forest achieved a 95% survival rate. Beyond improving forest cover, cinnamon, a native species, also provides long-term economic benefits for local communities. Trees that failed to grow were promptly replaced to ensure the forest develops evenly.
In Binh Chau - Phuoc Buu, 500 Hopea odorata and Dipterocarpus alatus trees greened 2 hectares of coastal land, with an 80% survival rate. Despite harsh climate conditions, this was a meaningful achievement, helping to prevent soil erosion, protect land, and create habitats for diverse wildlife.
These results highlight how every step of transcosmos Vietnam’s CSR journey is built on sustainability benefiting both the environment and the community. From the “Green Steps for Vietnam’s Forests” charity run to tree-planting journeys, each initiative carries the same spirit: beginning with care, continuing with action.
Green Journey 2025 has only just begun. Yet the saplings planted today together with the collective efforts of transcosmos Vietnam will one day grow into a lasting green lung for generations to come.
